New codeshare agreement between ITA Airways and Korean Air

ITA Airways, the Italian national carrier, and Korean Air, the South Korean carrier, have signed a codeshare agreement connecting their networks.
This new commercial partnership will facilitate business relations between the two nations and increase tourist flows. The agreement will provide more travel options for customers of both Companies, who will benefit from connectivity via Rome Fiumicino and Seoul Incheon, the two airlines’ hubs.
Starting from November 21st, Korean Air will apply its “KE” code on 11 Italian destinations in connection with Rome Fiumicino airport (Bologna, Venice, Turin, Trieste, Genoa, Bari, Brindisi, Florence, Catania, Palermo, Naples), and on 5 international destinations (Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, Cairo, Munich).
ITA Airways will apply its “AZ” code on the services operated by Korean Air between Italy (Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa) and South Korea (Seoul Incheon) on 2 domestic Korean destinations (Pusan and Daegu) and on 4 Japanese destinations (Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo).
The two airlines are also already working to expand their cooperation in order to offer their customers further travel combinations.
The arrangement with Korean Air is ITA Airways’ 32nd codeshare agreement, a result achieved in just over two years since the Company’s inception.
