Number of organizations staged a powerful protest against the oppression of Hindus in Bangladesh

At the call of the Sanatan Suraksha Samiti, a strong protest was organized at Sector 17 Plaza against the atrocities on Hindus and attacks on ISKCON temples in Bangladesh. The event saw an outpouring of anger and energy from the Chandigarhians residing in the city. Thousands of attendees, filled with rage and enthusiasm, held banners with slogans such as “ना बाटेंगे न कटेंगे, एक रहेंगे सेफ रहेंगे, एक धक्का जोर से दो, बांग्लादेश तोड़ दो, बांग्लादेश मुर्दाबाद, बांग्लादेश पर भारत सरकार सैनिक हमला करें “.The plaza turned completely saffron during the protest.

Swami Shyamanand Ji, the patron of the organizing committee and head of Shri Krishna Pranami Nijdarbar, Chandigarh, addressed the crowd, condemning the Bangladesh Extabishment for supporting the massacre of Hindus . He emphasized that Bangladesh was created with the sacrifices of thousands of Indian soldiers during the 1971 war but, the same Bangladesh is now oppressing Hindus, violating women’s dignity, destroying ISKCON temples, and killing cows and Hindus. He declared that the time for pleas is over, and a decisive response is needed to teach Bangladesh its place.

The event was attended by prominent religious figures, including Swami Shyamanand Ji from Krishna Pranami Mandir, Shri Brihad Das Prabhu from ISKCON Chandigarh, Yashpal Tiwari from Shri Brahman Sabha, Sardar Gurmukh Singh, Prem Shammi, and B.P. Arora from the Hindu Parv Mahasabha. Other notable attendees included Punjabi singer Madan Shonki, Pandit Omprakash Shastri, poet Dr. Anish Garg, Dhananjay Chauhan from the Kinnar Sabha, and Jaiprakash Gupta from Shri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math.
