H.C. Gera | Bureau Chief:
I am excited to share with you that the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) is all set to organize its 5th Convention in Nairobi, Kenya from 24th November to 27th November 2023, and preparations for the same are almost complete. OTOAI is a national, non-profit organization comprising India’s Outbound Tour Operators and Travel Agents, who are in the serious business of selling outbound.
The team at OTOAI has done meticulous planning ahead of this convention, and every minute detailing was done for the information of the delegates attending this convention. Over 150 delegates from India are participating in this convention, and they will be required to obtain a Yellow Fever vaccination and a Certificate of Oral Polio Vaccination for International Travelers with a Passport number, as per International Health Regulations (2005).
Why the 5th Convention of OTOAI in Kenya?
OTOAI President, Mr. Riaz Munshi explained that the purpose of holding the 5th OTOAI Convention in Kenya is to explore the hidden gems of Kenya, which are not easily understood and explored by people who book tours online. Kenya is a unique destination for Indian travelers, and there is huge tourism potential for the Indian travel industry. During the convention, our travel partners and members shall surely benefit from our B2B session. Moreover, several unexplored destinations in Kenya hold significant value for tourism, and the itinerary for the Pre and Post-FAM for our esteemed delegates has already been chalked out by the OTOAI team.
Guidelines for Delegates
To ensure a comfortable and hassle-free travel experience, the delegates have been advised to carry copies of their Passport, E Visa, Yellow Fever cards, Polio Vaccination certificates, and all other important documents with them. Additionally, the OTOAI team has already issued the General Guidelines for Baggage Allowance for Air India and Kenya Airlines. The delegates must carry sunblock and mosquito repellents, comfortable active clothing for game drives, a lightweight jacket or sweater, and lightweight rain shells for comfortable travel while in Kenya. The most important thing is not to forget the medication that someone is taking regularly.
