OTOAI Strengthens Global Ties at the Second Edition of Meet Global MICE Congress, Moscow

The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) proudly represented India at the prestigious second edition of the Meet Global MICE Congress (MGMC) held in Moscow. This landmark event, themed Global Challenges and Trends of the MICE Industry: Towards Sustainable Development through the Prism of Experience and Knowledge of BRICS Countries and the Global South, attracted over 1,300 participants from the global business tourism industry.
The OTOAI delegation, led by President Himanshu Kesari Patil, included Vice President Shravan Bhalla, General Secretary Siddhartha Khanna, Past President Riaz Munshi, and EC Member ADL Abdul Karim. Their active involvement underscored India’s strong presence in the MICE sector and the association’s commitment to fostering international collaboration.
The MGMC 2024 featured 13 business sessions led by over 50 global experts, addressing topics such as advancements in congress and exhibition infrastructure and the integration of emerging technologies like big data and artificial intelligence. The event also facilitated over 2,000 B2B meetings, enabling the OTOAI delegation to engage with peers, explore new markets, and strengthen ties within the BRICS and global MICE community.
Highlighting the cultural and business synergies, projects such as Made in Moscow and Moscow Tea Time offered a unique platform for cross-cultural exchange and showcased emerging trends in the MICE industry.
With Moscow establishing itself as a hub for business tourism, the MGMC 2024 reaffirmed its position as a critical platform for global MICE leaders to address challenges and identify sustainable opportunities in the industry.
