OTOAI Strengthens Global Tourism Ties at ITB India 2024
The Voice of Chandigarh – The Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) proudly showcased its presence at ITB India 2024, held from September 11 to September 13 at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai. Located at Booth No. D29, OTOAI received an enthusiastic response, affirming the event’s role as a premier platform for the travel and tourism industry in India.
Leading the OTOAI delegation, President Mr. Riaz Munshi was joined by Vice President Mr. Shravan Bhalla, Joint Secretary Ms. Monia Kapoor, and Executive Committee member Ms. Arshdeep Anand. The event provided an excellent opportunity for members to connect with key stakeholders and engage in meaningful discussions around global tourism and potential collaborations.
A standout moment was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Iranian Tour Operators Association (ITOA). The agreement, signed by Mr. Mostafa Shafie Shakib, Chairman of ITOA, and Mr. Riaz Munshi, represents a significant step in enhancing tourism ties between India and Iran. The signing ceremony was attended by key members from both associations, highlighting the importance of this collaboration.
Additionally, OTOAI met with prominent figures such as Ms. Joyce Wang and Ms. Nurul Ain, emphasizing the need to strengthen global partnerships. Ms. Wang, a key advocate for tourism between India and China, shared valuable insights into expanding tourism offerings, essential for fostering mutual growth in travel and tourism.
ITB India is a leading travel trade event that brings together professionals from the industry, including tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism boards worldwide. The event facilitates networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among Indian and international stakeholders.
