Kamaljit Singh Panchhi President and LC Arora Gen.Secy write a letter to Hon’ble Administrator Chandigarh on genuine problems faced by City traders .

Respected Sir, 
We wish to inform about some business problems faced by City Traders since long.  The  Traders of this City Beautiful have always supported Chandigarh Administration on all National as well as local issues.

We the members of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector-17 would like to draw your kind attention to the brunt of the Corona Epidemic which Traders have  to face a very big challange of livelihood  as business remained shut & liabilities of Rents, salaries, electricity, property tax etc. While we had restrictions on our business activities during  festival season, wedding days etc. vendors from outside did enter our markets undeterred business adding further losses to local business houses. Due to which all of us shopkeepers suffer a lot, the government also does not get any revenue. All of us traders also pay the rent of our shops throughout the year, keep stock, and also follow the whole system from GST to the government. 

We understand that Administration is planning to allow EXHIBITIONS ETC in Chandigarh which should not permitted as this will further effect our business. The Administration knows that we have not come out of Trauma of COVID-19, business not revived completely & such step will ruin local sales. We suggest your good office to call consensus by Traders & act accordingly. So that interests of the local traders can be protected.
