PHDCCI SHE Forum Chandigarh Hosts Expert Talk on Women’s Health and Career Development

The PHDCCI SHE Forum, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Mohali, and AIPL organized an Expert Talk on Nurturing Women’s Health and the 3rd PHDCCI SHE Forum Meet and Greet at PHD House, Chandigarh. The event brought together experts and professionals to discuss critical themes around women’s health, career counselling, and the significance of soft skills.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Pooja Nayar, Chair, PHDCCI SHE Forum, Chandigarh, highlighted the forum’s mission to foster holistic growth and empower women across all spheres of life. She encouraged active participation, underscoring the importance of collective efforts in championing women’s empowerment.
Ms. Bharti Sood, Regional Director, PHDCCI, reiterated the SHE Forum’s commitment to fostering meaningful conversations and equipping women with the tools and knowledge needed for personal and professional excellence.
The session was moderated by Ms. Sunaina Nigam, Co-Founder, SA Career Consultants Pvt Ltd, who emphasized the interconnected nature of the discussions and their relevance to empowering participants in both their personal and professional growth.
Dr. Shweta Tahlan, Consultant – Gynae Oncosurgery, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, delivered an informative session on cervical cancer awareness and highlighted the early symptoms and methods of early detection, emphasizing the critical role of timely intervention. She also elaborated on the prevention of cervical cancer through the HPV vaccine, stressing its importance in reducing the risk. In addition, she provided valuable insights into other cancers affecting women, including ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and endometrial cancer.
Ms. Rishu Garg, Founder, Kiyoshi Ed-Tech, spoke about aligning individual interests and skills with career goals, while addressing common dilemmas such as mid-career transitions and decision-making under pressure. Ms. Neha Gupta, Career Counsellor and Motivational Speaker, highlighted the importance of soft skills like communication, leadership, adaptability, and emotional intelligence in achieving career success, sharing real-life examples to inspire the audience.

The interactive Q&A Session, moderated by Ms. Poonam Dewan, Founder, Communicate with Poonam engaged participants on various queries about the HPV vaccine and its applications, debunking common myths surrounding cancer, and exploring strategies to maintain physical and mental well-being. Additionally, the session delved into career planning, offering guidance on aligning career paths with individual passions and strengths and the role of soft skills in career success. During the event, an IPR Helpdesk Camp was organized by IPFC Chandigarh with the support of the Ministry of MSME. The helpdesk collected inquiries related to intellectual property rights, and IPR Attorney Dr. Shweta Sen Thalwal, Founder, Integrum IP, Mohali, provided on-the-spot solutions to the queries of applicants and attendees.
