PUNJAB AG Vinod Ghai Resigns

Punjab’s Advocate General Vinod Ghai resigned on October 5, 2023, citing personal reasons. His resignation comes just over a month after he was appointed to the post.

In his resignation letter to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Ghai wrote, “I am writing to inform you of my resignation from the post of Advocate General of Punjab. I have taken this decision due to personal reasons. I am grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to serve the state in this prestigious position.”

Ghai’s resignation is a setback for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, which is already facing a number of challenges.
