Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association in association with the Cross Horizon NGO organised a seminar on ‘Human Trafficking – Challenges and Cure’

The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association, in association with the Cross Horizon NGO, organised a seminar on ‘Human Trafficking – Challenges and Cure’ at the Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Sector – 43.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion includes learned academicians and jurists, namely, the Advocate General of Punjab, Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu, the Joint Director of the Rajya Sabha, Dr. Anuj, the Director of the Educational Multimedia Research Centre, Daljit Ami, Minister of Punjab for Revenue and Water Resources Pt. Brahm Shankar(Jimpa), the Director of Sahaita NGO and emminent eye surgeon, Dr. Rajinder Raji and the President of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association, Dr. Santokhwinder Singh Grewal.
The convenors for the seminar were Anil Kumar Sagar, Advocate, Punjab and Haryana High Court and President of Cross Horizon, along with Anandeshwar Gautam, Advocate, Supreme Court of India.
The seminar infused an extensive discussion on the burning issue of human trafficking, the causes which accentuate this problem and possible solutions. People turned up in huge numbers to ponder upon this issue and listen to the honourable dignitaries. The dignitaries gave their detailed insight on the topic and the various instances as to how the problem has also evolved with time. Ld. AG referred to the various steps which are being undertaken by the govt of Punjab in an endeavour to keep a check on the problem.
