Punjab Governor pays obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib

In a solemn and reverent observance, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit, visited Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to pay homage on the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
Banwari Lal Purohit, partook in the religious ceremonies, engaged in Ardas (prayer) and offered his respects to the revered Guru, whose martyrdom is a poignant reminder of the values of justice, equality, and selflessness that he championed.
Later, talking to media, Purohit emphasized the enduring relevance of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s teachings in contemporary times. He highlighted the Guru’s contributions to compiling the Adi Granth, which laid the foundation for the spiritual and ethical framework of Sikhism. The Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, observed with deep reverence by Sikhs worldwide, serves as a day of reflection on the Guru’s teachings and his ultimate sacrifice for the faith.
The Governor was also accompanied by his Additional Chief Secretary K. Siva Prasad, IAS.
