Rajeev Verma Reviews Key Facilities and Urges Enhanced IT Integration in Chandigarh

Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator of UT Chandigarh, along with senior officials, conducted an extensive review of several crucial facilities across the city. The visit included the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) and Police Command Control Centre (PCCC) in Sector-17, and the Centre for Cyber Operations and Security (CENCOPS) in Sector-18.
During the tour, the officials provided live demonstrations and detailed presentations on the operations of these facilities. Shri Verma underscored the importance of acquiring additional data streams from relevant departments to bolster the operational and analytical capabilities of these centers.
The review also encompassed other significant locations, including the Supervisory and Control Data Acquisition (SCADA) facility in Sector-18, the Registration and Licensing Authority (RLA), DC Office, Estate Office, and Sub Registrar Office in Sector-17, Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector-32, and the Command Control Centre for the Intelligent Transport System in Sector-43.
Mr. Verma emphasized the need for optimal use of information technology, cross-referencing data across departments, and the complete digitization of records. He also called for an upgrade of capabilities through Artificial Intelligence to ensure that Chandigarh’s administrative and operational systems remain at the forefront of modern technology.
