Secretary Estate conducts surprise inspection of Estate Office

Secretary Estate, Diprava Lakra, IAS alongwith Nishant Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Estate Officer and Sorabh Kumar Arora, PCS, Joint Secretary Estate conducted surprise inspection of Estate Office today. He took complete round of the building and visited all the branches of Estate Office. During his visit, the Secretary held discussion with Senior Officials and staff, reviewing the office work load, on-going projects and administrative processes. The Secretary emphasized the urgent need for digitization and process optimization to improve service delivery. He directed that the on-going digitization of record be completed at the earliest.

During the visit, the Secretary also assessed the office’s work flow and challenges related to record management. Secretary Estate directed the officials to explore additional storage options solution for safe keeping of records. Additionally the Secretary emphasized the integration of digitization efforts to reduce the pendency on physical files and promote a paperless working environment.

Secretary Estate interacted with the staff and directed them to dispose all files in a time bound manner.
