Seven newly appointed officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) paid a courtesy call on Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan.

These officers included Lakshya Sareen, Narendra Kumar, Nisha, Sonu Bhatt, Vishwajit Choudhary, Vivek Arya and Yash Jaluka. Dattatraya extended his best wishes to them for a bright future.

The Governor said that all officers should work with a great sense of duty and honesty to provide an effective administration and ensure timely implementation of policies and welfare programmes of the Central and the State Governments so that the targeted groups are not deprived of their benefits.

Dattatraya said that the use of digital tools should be encouraged for transparency in the delivery mechanism and our officers should regularly interact with the people to increase their confidence in the administration.

“It is a matter of pride for all of you that you have got an opportunity to work in Haryana, which is a leading state of the country in terms of development,” he said while appreciating their academic excellence.

Congratulating women officers, Governor Dattatraya said that today women are proving themselves in every field of life thanks to the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also inquired about their experiences during their training.

During the interaction, Secretary to the Governor, Atul Dwivedi shared his experience of administrative service. Trainee officers said that in the training they were taught about the priority of public service and they would work in this spirit during their service. On this occasion, IT Advisor to Governor, BA Bhanushankar was also present.
