SRI SATHYA SAI GRAMIN JAGRITI, honoured by Administrator UT Chandigarh for exemplary work in setting up a Mini covid Care Center during Covid
THE VOICE OF CHANDIGARH NEWS: Sai Jagriti, which is carrying out silent, but unique and impressive work of service to humanity for last over 30 years, for extremely poor and deprived sections of village from amongst Women, Girls, Children and Youth and has set up free school, hospital and vocational school in a village near Yamuna Nagar, was honoured by HE Administrator Sh VP Singh Badnore during the Independence Day Celebrations on 15th August. Sai Jagriti is imparting quality education and health facilities to village children for over three decades. All the facilities being undertaken by Sai Jagriti are given totally free, and persons running it have completely dedicated themselves to service of Society. Sai Jagriti was amongst 07 NGOs, who been honoured for doing outstanding work during Covid’19.
Sai Jagriti has been running a totally free School upto 10th class, imparting quality education to about 500 on campus and another 150 off campus students, besides, running a free hospital, providing totally free services, and a Vocational Training Center, being upgraded as full scale Industrial Training Institutes for Men and Women, and all these projects have been running totally free for last more than 30 years, as Sai Jagriti has been working on the theme of Manava Sewa is Madhava Sewa.
Recently, Sai Jagriti had established a free 50 bedded totally free Covid Hospital in Chandigarh, wherein it served and treated 162 Covid Patients free of cost in a dedicated manner. The Hallmark of this center was that it was more a healing center than a mere hospital. The patients were given the best of the facilities and entertainment besides recreation, so that they do not have remain on bed and rather remain busy and indulge in activity while being cured. Sai Jagriti’s 50-bedded Mind Covid care cum healing center has been equipped with Oxygen and all other infrastructure facilities at Sector 8 Chandigarh.
Besides, Sai Jagriti is coming up with various other social service projects, including a Multi-specialty Hospital.
Recently the Trust delivered dry ration to a number of Youth from North East, who had got struck at Rajasthan. The Local Chairman Amar Vivek Aggarwal and Co-Chairman Satish Garg informed that the Trust is working only on unsolicited public donations and no formal appeal for funds for various activities is being made and the trust endeavors to take up various programs of serving humanity in a dedicated and selfless manner.
