TAT welcomes Thai Lion Air’s inaugural flight from Amritsar to Bangkok Don Mueang

New daily service strengthens Thailand-India connectivity and enhances travel convenience for visitors

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is delighted to welcome Thai Lion Air’s inaugural flight SL215 from Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport to Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport.

Representing TAT at the welcoming ceremony, Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and the South Pacific, celebrated this new connection as a promising gateway for enhanced tourism between Thailand and India.

To commemorate the inaugural flight on 29 October 2024, passengers were warmly greeted upon arrival with traditional Thai flower garlands and commemorative gifts, symbolising the start of this vibrant new travel route.

The Amritsar – Bangkok Don Mueang service operates once daily, offering a convenient and seamless travel experience for visitors exploring the cultural and tourism attractions Thailand has to offer.
