Three Members sworn in to the Lokpal of India, Lokpal of India office now at its full strength of nine members including the Chairperson

Chairperson, Lokpal of India, Shri Justice Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar administered the oath of office to the following as Judicial Member and Member of Lokpal of India, in a ceremony organised today at 11:00 AM at Lokpal of India Campus, New Delhi:

Justice Lingappa Narayana Swamy, before joining as Judicial Member of Lokpal of India,
was the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court and is a former Judge of the Karnataka High Court.
Justice Sanjay Yadav, before joining as Judicial Member of Lokpal of India, was the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court and is a former Judge of the Allahabad High Court and Madhya Pradesh High Court.

Sushil Chandra is a 1980 batch IRS (IT) officer. Before joining as Member of Lokpal of India, he was the 24th Chief Election Commissioner of India and previously served as the Chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes.

With the swearing in of three new members, the office of the Lokpal of India is now at its full strength of nine members including the Chairperson.

The ceremony was also attended by Members of the Lokpal, Justice Hemant Gupta, Chairperson, India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC), Justice Indermeet Kaur Kochhar, Member, Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal (MWDT), Justice Ravi Ranjan, Member (MWDT), Praveen Kumar Srivastava, Central Vigilance Commissioner, Arvinda Kumar, Vigilance Commissioner and Senior officers of CBI and ED.
