TOURISM AUTHORITY OF THAILAND (TAT) ORGANISES AN ALL-WOMEN FAM TRIP TO PHUKET

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), successfully organized “first- of- its- kind-all-women “exclusive familiarization (FAM) trip for select B2B trade partners covering FIT and GIT travel in the month of September 2024.
TAT organized an exclusive all-women FAM in association with esteemed industry partners- Indigo and leading tourism and hospitality representation company, Nijhawan Group. The FAM trip was thoughtfully curated to highlight Phuket as a safe and ideal destination for women travelers The trip was specifically designed to educate Indian women trade partners on the wide range of experiences available, equipping travel agents with firsthand insights into the exceptional products and services curated for women-only travellers, highlighting accommodation options in Phuket. The trip showcased Onyx Hospitality Group’s offerings as well as the various experiences that Phuket has to offer.
The FAM trip, focused on both FIT and GIT travel agents, offering a women-centered, in-depth 4-day itinerary in Phuket. The program included site visits to premier properties like Ozo Phuket and Amari Phuket, along with opportunities to explore the adventure activities and cultural experiences available in the region. A total of ten female travel agents, accompanied by representatives from Nijhawan Group, TAT and Indigo participated in the trip.
By offering agents firsthand exposure to thrilling adventure activities like the Hanuman Zipline, ATVs coupled with indulgent experiences such as tailored wellness treatments and fun nail art sessions, along with the electrifying experience at YONA Beach Club and Baba Nest Café, the program equipped agents with the knowledge and inspiration needed to craft women-centric itineraries. These curated experiences allowed agents to create unique, market-ready travel packages that cater to the growing demand for safe, adventurous, and relaxing getaways designed specifically for women. This approach not only enhances Thailand’s appeal but also empowers agents to effectively promote these itineraries to female travelers.
