Traffic Police Educate Public on Road Safety and Responsible Driving

A Traffic Rules & Discipline Awareness Programme was organised by the Sector-21 Market Welfare Association at the parking area of Sector-21C Market, Chandigarh. The programme was successfully conducted with active participation from shopkeepers, visitors, and members of the public.

Officials from the Chandigarh Traffic Police educated citizens on the importance of following traffic rules, road discipline, and safe driving practices. Inspector Sanjeev Sharma addressed the gathering and highlighted key aspects of traffic safety, stressing the role of citizens in reducing accidents and ensuring smooth traffic flow.

President of Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh Unit, Jatinder Pal Malhotra, also spoke on the occasion. He appreciated the initiative of the Market Welfare Association and emphasized that traffic discipline is a collective responsibility requiring cooperation between authorities and the public.

The programme was attended by prominent members of the market and local community, including Charanjiv Singh, Vinod Joshi, Sukhpal Singh, Radhey Lal, Rajiv Dhawan, Sandeep Kathuria, Vijay Garg, and Prabodh Mahajan.

The organisers stated that such awareness programmes play a vital role in promoting road safety, civic sense, and a disciplined traffic culture in the city.
