Two Major Immigration Fraud Cases Registered in Chandigarh; Over ₹77 Lakh Duped

The Voice of Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police have registered two separate cases of immigration fraud amounting to more than ₹77 lakh, involving different consultancy firms operating in Sector 17 and Sector 34.

In the first case, FIR No. 160 under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC and 24 Immigration Act was registered at Police Station Sector 17 on the complaint of Mr. Paras Chabra, resident of House No. 4351, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh, and others.
The complainants alleged that Gulshan Tyagi, Abhinav Dogra, and Simranjit Singh Bal of Fly Out Immigration, SCO 73–74, Second Floor, Sector 17-D, Chandigarh, cheated them of ₹67,34,000 on the pretext of providing work and tourist visas abroad. The investigation is underway.

In the second case, FIR No. 180 under Section 318(4) BNS and 24 Immigration Act was registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of a woman from Village Pindi Balochan, PS Sadik, District Faridkot, Punjab.

She alleged that Suraj Malhotra of Brampton Wale Immigration Consultant, SCO 91–93, Sector 34, Chandigarh, duped her of ₹10,25,000 by promising to arrange a UK work permit, which was neither provided nor refunded. Investigation in this matter is also in progress.

The police have urged the public to remain cautious while dealing with immigration agents and to verify credentials before making any financial commitments.
