A function was organized at the Diwan Atma Ram Auditorium of Law Bhawan in Chandigarh. Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Manjari Nehru Kaul, Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed more than 275 Enrollment certificates after administering the oath to the newly enrolled advocates. Her Lordship advised the new entrants to work hard and emphasized how their daily lifestyle could contribute to a brighter future for the country. Additionally, she launched the Law Journal ‘Counsel’ in the presence of all new entrants and their parents. Dr. Neelam Batra, Professor of Law at Ludhiana College, delivered a lecture on new laws to the new entrants.
Sh. Ashok Singla, Chairman of the Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana, welcomed Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Manjari Nehru Kaul and advised the new entrants to uphold the dignity of the legal profession. Hony Secretary Sh. Hargobinder Singh Gill (Bagga), Sh. C.M. Munjal, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Sh. Amit Rana, Co-Chairman, Sh. Pravesh Yadav, Co-Chairman, Sh. Harish Rai Dhanda, Former Chairman, Sh. Lekh Raj Sharma, Former Chairman, Sh. Rajat Gautam, Member of the Enrollment Committee (Editor-Counsel), Sh. Harpreet Singh Multani, and other Members of the Bar Council, as well as other Advocates, parents, and guardians of the newly enrolled advocates from different places of Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh also attended the event. It is important to mention that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and currently has about 140,000 advocates on its roll.
