Apologizing is the best human behaviour – Satya Pal Jain
The Voice of Chandigarh
Chandigarh 14 September, 2025. Former MP of Chandigarh and Additional Solicitor General of Government of India, Satya Pal Jain has said that apologizing to others for the mistakes and for objectionable comments made by oneself towards others is the best human thought and behaviour. Jain said that if mutual differences are resolved in time, it brings sweetness in social relations and reduces unnecessary tension in the society.
Jain was addressing the gathering as the chief guest during the ‘Kshamavani’ program organized by the Jain community at Shri Digambar Jain Temple, Sector 27B, Chandigarh today.
Jain said that although apologizing is considered the best in all religions, but Jainism has set a wonderful example in the world by celebrating it like a festival every year. He said that while doing work in social life, many times a person says such things which hurt the feelings of others. Due to this, the initial resentment later takes the form of enmity, which causes great loss to all the parties.
Therefore, Jainism has given such an opportunity every year by celebrating a festival of apology, on which a person apologizes for his mutual differences so that the resentment can be ended before it turns into enmity.
On this occasion, Jain was also honored by the Jain community.
