Delegates from Banglore appreciate Chandigarh’s cleanliness and infrastructure development

A 55-member delegation from Hebbagodi City Municipal Council, Bangalore Urban District, visited Municipal Corporation Chandigarh to study the city’s successful projects and development model.
The delegation included the President, Vice President, Standing Committee Chairman, Corporators, and senior officials. The purpose of the visit was to understand Chandigarh’s best practices in Solid Waste Management (SWM), Sewage Treatment Plants, Water Treatment Plants, town planning system, community centres in every sector, road development, and related infrastructure.
City Mayor Saurabh Joshi and MC Commissioner Amit Kumar, IAS, welcomed all delegates from Hebbagodi City Municipal Council. They shared information about Chandigarh’s planned city structure, clean environment initiatives, and advanced municipal services. They said that such study visits help in sharing knowledge and improving city management systems.
During the visit, the delegation toured important projects of MCC including waste processing plants, sewage treatment plants, water treatment facilities, and key road infrastructure projects. Officers of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh gave detailed presentations and explained the working systems.
The delegates appreciated Chandigarh’s well-planned sectors, clean surroundings, and organized infrastructure. They said the visit was very informative and helpful for adopting similar systems in their city.
