Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria visits AIIMS Bathinda

Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria, visited the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, and was warmly  received by the Executive Director, Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Gupta.

During his visit, the Hon’ble Governor reviewed the Emergency Services of the  institute. He visited key facilities including the Heart Command Center, Emergency Wards, Triage facility, Surgical Trauma Ward, and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). He appreciated the institute’s modern infrastructure and its preparedness to provide prompt and quality care to patients.

In his interaction with faculty members, Hon’ble Governor commended their dedication towards patient care, medical education, and research, acknowledging the significant role being played by AIIMS Bathinda in strengthening healthcare services in the region. He appreciated key initiatives of the institute, including outreach services,  transplant program, pediatric and neonatology care, cancer care services, and efforts towards establishing a shelter home for patients and attendants.

The Hon’ble Governor encouraged the administration of AIIMS Bathinda to submit a  proposal to the Ministry for allocation of additional land and assured support in  facilitating the process.

The visit concluded with the Hon’ble Governor appreciating the continuous efforts of  the institute in delivering high-quality healthcare to the community.
