Administrator Launches Poster for IndiaSkills Competition 2026-27, Calls Upon Chandigarh Youth to Participate

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria  launched the poster for the IndiaSkills Competition 2026-27, aimed at creating wider awareness and encouraging maximum participation of skilled and talented youth from Chandigarh.

Speaking on the occasion, the Administrator urged the youth to participate enthusiastically in the competition and make full use of the opportunities offered through skill competitions to showcase their talent at national and international levels. He emphasized the importance of developing a highly skilled workforce and encouraged eligible youth to come forward and demonstrate their skills.

The IndiaSkills Competition provides a platform for young people to identify, nurture and showcase their skills across various trades, compete at different levels and aspire to represent India at prestigious national and international skill competitions.

To ensure wider outreach, the Chandigarh Administration is undertaking extensive mobilisation and advocacy activities among eligible youth, educational institutions, training institutes and other stakeholders. The IndiaSkills Competition 2026-27 Mobilisation/Advocacy Team is visiting technical education institutions, higher education institutions and hotel management institutes on a daily basis to disseminate information and facilitate registration of eligible candidates.

The Chandigarh Administration has appealed to all eligible youth to actively participate in the IndiaSkills Competition 2026-27 and avail themselves of the opportunity to showcase their skills and talent at national and international platforms.

Also present during the launch were Secretary Education, Prerna Puri, and Mission Director, Chandigarh Skill Development Mission, Palika Arora.
