ADTOI: MINISTRY OF TOURISM ORGANISES NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF STATE TOURISM MINISTERS

Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India organized National Conference of State Tourism Ministers on the 18th, 19th & 20th September 2022 at Hotel D’Polo Club & SPA Resort, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh to discuss various issues pertaining to the development of tourism in the country. ADTOI being one of the constituents of FAITH, Mr. P. P. Khanna participated in the conference on the invitation of Ministry of Tourism.
Representing ADTOI, Mr.P. P. Khanna made a presentation before the Government comprising the following topics:
During the pandemic period only domestic tourism was active in the country which gave a boost to the sector.
The pandemic created a huge change in human activities, which is more on nature-based activities. Now a new trend is that travellers are now more responsible for tourism. The world is literally on fire for sustainability and it is time for talent environment and responsibility to be adopted by all concerned with tourism.
As One Nation, EK Bharat Shresta Bharat, each State/UT should embark to educate parents and children from the grass root level, on what lay ahead for future generations. If timely steps are not taken to be more responsible, life will be nothing but a nightmare after a few decades.
A skill management programme should be conducted for locals without charges/ free or subsidised training programmes shall generate employment and revenue for the Locals/State.
Comprehensive study and sharing data of all States/UT’s about their Infrastructure of Hotels/ Resorts/ Homestays / Transport system/ Attractions etc. and its capacity for travellers to visit. It shall help not only the tourists but even stakeholders to promote that destination hassle-free.
State Specialist Programme for Tour Operators which shall facilitate the T/O to sell the destination professionally and share the right information to Tourists.
Let us all nurture together the Rich ART/ CRAFT/ CULTURE/ HERITAGE/WELLNESS/SPA/YOGA /SPIRITUALITY and different attractions of India to Indians and to the world to make India number one globally in tourism.
