Estate Office, UT Chandigarh organises grievance redressal camp at Community Centre Sector 38

Estate Office, UT Chandigarh organised grievance redressal camp at Community Centre Sector 38 for redressal of grievances for the properties situated at Sector 31 onwards at Community Centre, Sector 38. A total of 63 applicants visited the camp with their claims and documents.

Majority of applications submitted were related to cases of GPAs for transfer of ownership in respect of Lease Hold Properties allotted under specific allotment schemes. Some of the residents of Sector 37 requested for making provisions for passing of building plans under the zoning prior to Chandigarh Estate Rules. Updation of status of Resumed Properties was another issue raised by the applicants. The applicants visited personally at the camp for their pending matters. 

Dr Vijay Namdeorao Zade, IAS Finance Secretary along with Vinay Pratap Singh, DC cum Estate Officer also visited the camp and met the applicants.

Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh said that the Estate Office will examine these applications under the rules and take appropriate decisions within 15 days on these applications. 

Dr Vijay Namdeorao Zade, Finance Secretary stated that such camps would be organised in every quarter.

He further stated that a Online Grievance Portal of Estate Office for the public grievances would be launched soon and the same will be monitored regularly to dispose of the applications in a time bound manner. This will help in checking unnecessary objections and delays in the disposal of the cases at Estate Office.

Members of the public thanked the Finance Secretary and Deputy Commissioner-cum- Estate Officer for organising such camps which result in quick disposal of cases and bring more transparency.

It is not out of place to mention here that during the last two camps held last year, 368 grievances were received. But presently during these two days of the camp reduced number of grievances (Total 119) were recieved as long pending grievances were resolved during last 1 year.
