In a major boost for international tourism, South Korea has extended its group visa fee waiver program until December 31, 2026, offering significant savings for travellers from six countries, including India.

According to the Ministry of Justice, eligible group tourists will continue to enjoy a waiver of the standard USD 15 (approximately KRW 22,500) visa issuance fee. The initiative, which was originally set to end in June 2026, has now been extended for another six months to encourage more inbound visitors.

The visa fee waiver applies to group tourists from the following countries:

  • India
  • China
  • Vietnam
  • Philippines
  • Indonesia
  • Cambodia

The extension is expected to make travel to South Korea more affordable and convenient for organized tour groups, providing greater flexibility for travel agencies and tourists planning visits during the remainder of 2026.

The move reflects South Korea’s continued efforts to strengthen its tourism sector by attracting more international visitors, particularly from key Asian markets. Travel industry stakeholders believe the extended waiver will encourage higher demand for group travel packages and support the recovery and growth of inbound tourism.
