Chandigarh Administrator Announces ₹5 Lakh Relief Each for Families of Minors Drowned in Canal Incident

Following the tragic drowning of four minors belonging to Sector 30 and Sector 26 in a canal, Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria has announced an ex-gratia financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to each bereaved family from governor fund.

The decision was taken following an appeal by senior BJP leader Davinder Singh Babla, who urged the administration to extend immediate financial relief to the victims’ families. The Administrator’s prompt response is expected to provide some relief to the grieving families during this difficult time.
