A lady resident of Maloya, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Naya gaon (PB) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A lady resident of village sector-29, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt. Jabalpur (MP) harassed the complainant to bring more dowries. A case FIR No. 43, U/S 406, 498A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against Gambling
Chandigarh Police arrested Rampal (Age-52 Years), Vinod (Age-48 Years) both resident of sector-56, Chandigarh and Pushpender Kumar (Age-46 Years) R/O # 116 Ph-1 Mohali (PB), while they were gambling on public place near park sector-56, Chandigarh on 16.07.2021. Total cash Rs. 4500/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Missing/Abduction
A person resident of Village Burail, Chandigarh reported that his son aged about 12 years has been missing from residence since 15.07.2021. A case FIR No. 112, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 147, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Jatin Chaudhary R/O # 283, Shivalik Enclave, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Raj Kumar R/O # 245, sector-2, Panchkula (HR) and Akash Nagpal R/O # 1490, sector-9, Karnail (HR), they served hooka to customers at SCO No. 10, Grapho-07 club, Sector-7, Chandigarh on 16.07.2021 and violated the orders of District Magistrate, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Rioting
Karan Walia R/o # 549, Village- Kajheri, Chandigarh reported that Shiv Charan, Sunil, Sokat, Anil @ Bora and 3-4 others unknown persons attacked on complainant with sticks, iron rod, near 66 KV Station, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh on 14.07.2021. They also took away cash Rs. 70000/- from the complainant and apple watch. A case FIR No. 129, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 427, 379, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. MV Theft
Charanjit Singh R/o # 2180, sector-38C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Thar Jeep No. PB-65T-6865 from near his house between 12-07-2021 to 14-07-2021. A lady resident of Sector-38, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away her gold & diamond fitted ornaments i.e 25 pair ear rings, 10 rings, 8 kara of gold from her house on 16.07.2021 by braking the lock.
