Chandigarh Police Bust Gang of Thieves Involved in Multiple House Thefts and Temple Burglary

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the police team of police station Sector-39, under the directions of W/SSP Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS W/SSP and Mridul, IPS, W/SP City under the supervision of Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/South West, & Inspector Narinder Singh Patial SHO/PS Sector-39 constitute a team comprising SI Kuldeep Singh 1058/CHG, ASI Kulwant Singh, & worked out the sensational case of House Theft in which approx 70 Tola gold ornaments were stolen i.e FIR No. 35 dated 5.3.2024 U/s 380-IPC added 411-IPC registered in Police Station Sector-39. These thieves have committed crime in Temple, & locked houses where front door found locked and entered from rear side of the house.
The guidelines/directions followed by the team resultantly police party of police station Sector-39, Chandigarh busted a gang of thieves and workout the above sensational case by collecting CCTV footage of surrounding houses of place of occurrence. The brief facts of the case is as under:-
FIR No. 35 dt 5.3.2024 U/s 380-IPC added 411-IPC PS-39, Chd
This case has been registered on the complaint of Prof. Tirthankar S/o Prof. D.C. Bhattarcharya R/o # 2437 Sec 37C Chd. He reported that on 05.03.2024 at about 04.45 PM when he returned back from Punjab University to his house, he found that door of his house was open and the gold ornaments lying in the house was missing and have been stolen.
During the course of investigation, Accused Dalip S/o Mahavir R/o # 2525/3 Sec. 49/C Chd Age 20 Years, Vickey S/o Biram R/o # 2596/1 Sec. 49/C Chd. Age 18 Years & accused Tarun @ Lalla S/o Mata Parsad R/o # 2669 Sector 49/C Chd. Age 18 ½ Years arrested and stolen Gold ornaments recovered.
On preliminary investigation, it has been emerged that these accused have also committed Burglaries in the past in the abandoned houses even temple nearby Tribune Chowk, Sector-31, Chd to fulfill their drug desire.
