CHANDIGARH POLICE: CRACKDOWN AGAINST FRAUDSTER IMMIGRATION COMPANIES- REGISTERED 10 CASES (06-PS-36 & 04-PS-34)

The Voice of Chandigarh News: In continuation with the drive/crackdown against fraudster Immigration Companies, Chandigarh police has registered 10 cases (06-PS-36 & 04-PS-34) against such fraudster companies, who were involved in duping the innocent people in the name of sending them abroad.

In this regard, 06 Cases u/s 406, 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act have been registered at Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh against Pooja Mahajan, Lovish Mahajan, Vivek Saini, Gogi Mehra etc. of I-Abroad Education & Immigration, SCO No. 44, 2nd floor, Sector 42 Chandigarh, who duped different complainants on tune of Total 55.4 Lacs for arranging study visas for Canada but the alleged neither arranged visas nor returned their amount. Similarly, 04 Cases have been registered at Police Station 34 Chandigarh against such frauduster companies, who committed cheating of Total Rs.

30.05 Lacs with different complainants by using same modus operandi.

In case FIR No. 120 dt 04.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, alleged has committed cheating of Rs. 5.91 Lacs from complainant Harinder Pal Singh S/o Joginder Singh R/o Lohgarh road, Dharamkot, Distt. Moga, Pb.

In case FIR No. 121 dt 04.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, alleged has committed cheating of Rs. 7.31 Lacs from complainant Dilraj Singh S/o Sh. Buta Singh R/o Village Dabri Khana, Tehsil Jaiton, Faridkot, Pb.

In case FIR No. 124 dt 05.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, alleged has committed cheating of Rs. 16, 21, 560 from complainants Inderbir Singh s/o Sh. Salwinder Singh R/o Village Naushara Maja Singh, Distt. Gurdaspur, Pb, Rajbir Singh s/o Sh. Gurvail Singh R/o VPO Ghaggar Bhana, Tehsil Baba Bakala, Distt. Amritsar, Pb & Mrs. Kiran Bala & Mr. Anil Kumar R/o Ward No. 09, Basdehra, Una, HP

In case FIR No. 125 dt 05.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, alleged has committed cheating of Rs. 5.45 Lacs from complainant Manjeet Kaur w/o Sh. Bhagwan Singh R/o Kothi No. 1755, Sector 80, SAS Nagar, Pb

In case FIR No. 129 dt 05.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, alleged has committed cheating of Rs. 1361115/- from complainant Manpreet Kaur Village Mullanval, Gurdaspur, Pb

In case FIR No. 130 dt 06.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, alleged has committed cheating of Rs. 6.91 Lacs from complainant Jagtar Singh s/o Kuldeep Singh r/o VPO Landran PB.

Chd registered against alleged AJ.GROUP OVERSEAS, SCO NO 80-81-82 THIRD FLOOR SECTOR 34A , CHD for duping complainant Bharat Kumar Sahni & others on a tune of Rs. 4.51 Lac on the pretext of arranging visa of Tanzania

Case FIR No 62 dt 05.05.23 u/s 406, 420 IPC PS 34 Chd registered against alleged Rahul Narula @ Mandeep Narula, owner of Path Worldwide Pvt Ltd for committing cheating with complainant Mandeep Kaur R/o Rode Tehsil Baghapurana, Distt. Moga, Punjab on a tune of Rs 3.13 Lacs.

Case FIR No. 63 dt 05.05.2023 U/S 406, 420 IPC PS 34 Chd registered against Harmeet Singh, TCG Consultant, SCO NO. 126-127, FF, SECTOR 34, Chandigarh for committing cheating with complainant Gurkirt Kaur H.No 40 Vill Bhabat, Zirakpur Punjab on a tune of Rs 6.41 Lacs on the pretext of arranging visa of Ukraine.

Case FIR No. 69 dt 06.05.2023 U/S 406, 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act PS 34 Chd registered against Blue Sapphire Immigration SCO No.58-59, GF, Sector-34, Chandigarh for committing cheating with complainant Ajaib Singh R/o Meharanmian Patti near Butter Road, Daudhar Garabi, Moga Punjab on a tune of Rs 16 Lacs on the pretext of providing LIMIA visa with job offer for Canada.

Except above, 18 cases u/s 188 have also been registered by Chandigarh Police against the Immigration companies, who were operating their business without prior information to the local police and violating the orders of DM/Chandigarh.
