Action against Gambling/satta
Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Kumar R/o # 63/1, New Darshani Bagh, Chandigarh (Age-43 years) while playing satta and recovered cash Rs. 7220/- from his possession near Vishal Diary, NAC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 25.07.2023. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. He was later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Davinder Pal R/o # 4582, Sector-46/D, Chandigarh, Age 52 Years and recovered 2 boxes of country made liquor from his possession near Pole No. 26, C&D turn, Sector-46, Chandigarh on 02.08.2023. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for theft
Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 3994, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away mobile phone from his house on 18-07-2023. A case FIR No. 136, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, a person namely Sahil Kumar R/o # 728/18, Ph-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh (Age 22 Years) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 133, U/S 182, 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-9, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady, Jai Dhawan, Puneet Dhawan and Others R/o # 227-230, Sector-9, Chandigarh prepared forged documents, forged wills and contradictor affidavits in order to transfer shares in H.No. 227 and 230, Sector 9, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 134, U/S 406, 420, 120B IPC & 24 of Immigrations Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurdeep Singh R/o VPO-Jhingran, Distt. SBS Nagar (PB) who alleged that Gursharan Singh and others R/o Visa Hub Overseas, SCO No. 1066-67, 2nd floor, Sector 22B, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 45 lakh from complainant on pretext of providing him VISA to Lithuania.
