The team of Police Station -19, Chandigarh under the leadership of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur W/SSP/UT and close supervision of Mridul SP/City and  headed by Palak Goel DSP/East UT, Chandigarh & personally led by Insp. Juldan Singh, SHO PS-19, Chandigarh has got success by arresting two accused namely Nikhil Thakur S/O Bachittar Singh R/O Flat No 501 X-Block, Jaipuria Sunrise green VIP Road Zirakpur Pb Age 31 Yrs  & Gurpal Singh S/o Paramjit Singh R/o H.No. 2546, PLW, Railway Colony Patiala PB age 37 yrs in FIR No. 68 dt 12.08.2023 U/s 420,380 IPC added 411 IPC, PS 19, CHD.

This case was registered on the complaint of Surinder Singh S/O Faqir Singh R/O H.No 2325 Sec 71 Mohali Pb in which he stated that on 09.08.23 at about 1.00 PM. He was withdrawing money from SBI Bank ATM Sector 19 Chandigarh at the same time a boy came to the ATM and that boy withdraw Rs 30,000 by changing his ATM card. During investigation accused Nikhil Thakur S/O Bachittar Singh R/O Flat No 501 X-Block, Jaipuria Sunrise green VIP Road Zirakpur Pb Age 31 Yrs was arrested on same day and accused Gurpal Singh S/o Paramjit Singh R/o H.No. 2546, PLW, Railway Colony Patiala PB age 37 yrs was arrested on 13.08.2023

During investigation, a team was constituted by SHO PS-19 to nab the culprit. The team has got success by arresting two accused namely Nikhil Thakur S/O Bachittar Singh R/O Flat No 501 X-Block, Jaipuria Sunrise green VIP Road Zirakpur Pb. Age 31 Yrs and accused Gurpal Singh S/o Paramjit Singh R/o H.No. 2546, PLW, Railway Colony Patiala PB age 37 yrs. M/Cycle No. CH04J4264 was recovered from accused Gurpal Singh and taken into police possession. Both accused will be produced before the Court for further course of action.       

Accused Nikhil Thakur and accused Gurpal Singh are habitual offender and the following cases were found registered against them, in various Police Stations in Chandigarh & other states.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Kumar @ Sunny R/o # 1339 Saini Vihar, Ph-3 Baltana (Pb) (Age-30 Years) and recovered 100 quarter & 92 half of country made liquor from his possession near Plot No. 24, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 12-08-2023. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Distt. Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Vikas R/o # 9, Village Hallomajra, Chandigarh and recovered 178 nips of country made liquor from his possession near his residence on 12-08-2023. A case FIR No. 135, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit Jamwal R/o # 1023, Sec- 15/B Chandigarh (HP) (age-30 yrs), while he was consuming liquor and created nuisance near wine shop Sec 20/D Chandigarh on 12-08-2023. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 129 U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-46D, Chandigarh who reported that unknown pedestrian boy ran away after snatched her purse containing 3000/-, Adhar Carrd, SBI Dabit card and one gold locket near Bata Showroom sec-46, Chandigarh on 12-08-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 A case FIR No. 140 U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijay R/o # 759, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age-35 yrs) who reported that unknown person who snatched mobile phone from near 25/38, L/point on 12-08-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Ayodiya Prasad R/o # 1100, New Indira Colony Manimajra Chandigarh alleged that unknown person who stolen away his 2 mobile phones and cash of Rs 16000 from his residence on 11-08-2023. A case FIR No. 64, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to murder

A case FIR No. 94 U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 452, 506, 307 IPC Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint Dilpreet Singh R/o Vill- Dosma Distt-Mohali (PB) who alleged that 5-6 unknown person ran away after beaten and try to murder the complainant at room no. 24 Tubwell DMC, Chandigarh on 09-08-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault / Rioting

A case FIR No. 337, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pawan Kumar R/o # 1476, Sec-45, Burail, Chandigarh who reported Ajay Kumar and his friends ran away after beaten to complainant with punches, kicks and threatened at near ISBT Sec-43, Chandigarh on 11-08-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Arms Act & Endangering life or personal safety of others

A case FIR No. 336 U/S 336 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Mohd. Tasawar against one unknown person came from # 1157, Sec-35/B, Chandigarh who ran away after shouting and he field a short of his house window on 12-08-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.
