Two arrested under NDPS Act in separate case

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Birajpal R/o Village Mauchandpur, Tehsil Aonla Distt. Bareilly (UP) (age-60 yrs) and recovered 1 KG of opium from his possession from back side ISBT-17, Chandigarh on 07-08-202. A case FIR No. 131 dated 07.08.2022 U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Nitin (age-30 years) R/o # 1799, NIC, Manimajra, UT Chandigarh and recovered 21 injections i.e. 11 Buprenorphine injections (02 ML each) and 10 injections Pheniramine/Milat (each-10 ml) from his possession near back side Tech. Mahindra near tubwell IT Park, Chandigarh on 07.08.2022. A case FIR No. 51 dated 07.08.2022 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

            Mukesh Kumar R/o # 5565/A, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that an unknown person stole away the complainant’s mobile from his residence on 06-08-2022. A case FIR No. 119 Dated 07.08.2022 U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. During investigation, accused namely Sahil Kumar R/o # 728/18, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh near House No. 6636, Sector-56, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 141 dated 07.08.2022, U/S 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Brij Kishore R/o # 1459/16, Sector-29, Chandigarh who alleged that Saurabh Sharma R/o # 246, Sector-122, Distt. Mohali (Pb) took Rs. 1,67,000/- from the complainant to send abroad in the year 2018. But he neither sent him abroad nor returned his money. Investigation of the case is in progress.
