CIRIUM RANKING CONFIRMS: LOT POLISH AIRLINES AMONG THE MOST RELIABLE AIRLINES IN EUROPE

LOT Polish Airlines is among the one of the most reliable airlines in Europe. This is confirmed by the 2022 punctuality ranking of global flight data provider Cirium. According to the ranking, the Polish carrier is among the European top ten. 

In 2022, LOT Polish Airlines completed over 85,000 flights. Of these, 75.08 percent were on time. LOT Polish Airlines thus ranks tenth among European carriers, only 0.08 percentage points behind Finnair (rank 9; over 45,000 flights). The first three places are occupied by Iberia, Air Europe and Iberia Express.

“Air traffic can experience delays for various kinds of reasons, such as when there are not enough staff at the airports or when the airspace is very full,” explains Amit Ray, Director DACH/Italy/India and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines. “2022 has been a challenging year for many European airlines. We are extremely pleased that we were among the ten most punctual airlines throughout Europe, especially as technical causes for any delays were very rare for us.”

In fact, technical reliability at LOT Polish Airlines was at 98.6 percent last year. Just 1.4 percent of the airline’s flights were disrupted due to technical issues.

LOT Polish Airlines is bringing its reliability also to India. The Star Alliance carrier is currently offering a total of seven flights per week from India to Warsaw, LOT’s global hub in Poland with fast and seamless connectivity to many European and North American destinations. On the routes from and to India, LOT Polish Airlines operates new Boeing 787 Dreamliners featuring three classes of service with Indian catering and Indian in-flight entertainment.
