“Diwali Milan cum Sampark Sabha” programme held for the Chandigarh police personnel

“Diwali Milan cum Sampark Sabha” programme was held at Multipurpose Hall, Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh, for the police personnel. On this occasion, Praveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP/UT, R.K. Singh, IPS, IGP/UT, Kuldeep Chahal, IPS, SSP/UT, Chandigarh, Manisha Chaudhary, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Security, Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP/Headquarters, Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/CCIC, Operation & EOW, Shruti Arora SP/City, all DSPs and other officials were present on this occasion. The event was held to keep the police personnel in high spirits. About 400 police officials attended the programme from all ranks and units of the Chandigarh Police force.
The welcome address was given by Ram Gopal, DSP/CID and praised the DGP/UT for the recent initiatives taken as a welfare of police personnel as followed the guidelines of Chandigarh Administration and also given warm Diwali greetings to the senior officers on behalf of all Chandigarh police officials.
In his address, Praveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP/UT, extended warm Diwali greetings to the police personnels and their family members. He told that restructuring of promotion planning will be made shortly so that timely promotion of all ranks of police personnel can be given. 400 more police quarters will be constructed for police personnel and will be allotted till December-2022. Chandigarh Police will have its own tanning center and 1000 police official will be recruited till March-2023 and their training will be done in new training center.
The Ministry of Home affairs has given approval that the Chandigarh Police should set up its own separate computer Center in which police personnel should be trained in computer education. DGP/UT also advised to all police officials to be polite especially during public dealing and their behavior should landmark in the heart of general public. Further he told that the Chandigarh Police is doing very good work especially ladies police.
The “Diwali Milan cum Sampark Sabha” programme was followed by high tea in a congenial environment of esprit-de-corpsand the Chandigarh Police Band played melodious tunes for the members of the force.
