GAEHP Successfully Concludes Mega Chhattisgarh FAM Tour in Association with Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Showcasing the State’s Diverse Tourism Potential

The Global Association of Events & Hospitality Professionals (GAEHP), in association with the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB), successfully concluded its Mega Chhattisgarh FAM Tour from 14th–18th July 2026, bringing together travel professionals, tour operators, destination promoters, and hospitality stakeholders from across India to explore the state’s immense tourism potential.

The specially curated familiarization programme was conducted across North and South Chhattisgarh, enabling participants to experience the state’s diverse landscapes, tribal heritage, waterfalls, forests, spirituality, adventure tourism, and hospitality infrastructure. The initiative aimed to enhance destination awareness and encourage travel professionals to actively promote Chhattisgarh in the domestic and international tourism markets.

North Chhattisgarh Circuit
A dedicated four-day North Chhattisgarh Familiarization (FAM) Tour hosted 12 invited tour operators and travel professionals, with seamless coordination and support from Mr. Imran (Chhattisgarh) and Mr. Sandip Shaw (GAEHP). The itinerary covered Jashpur, Ambikapur, Mainpat, Korba, and Raipur, offering participants an immersive experience of the region’s breathtaking natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and rapidly developing tourism ecosystem.

The delegation explored several prominent attractions, including Jashpur Tea Garden, Dash Dakha, Jaljali, the Buddhist Monastery, Ulta Pani, Tin Tin Pathar, and Satrenga Boat Club, while also inspecting leading hospitality properties such as Sarna Ethnic Resort, Karma Ethnic Resort, Purple Orchid Hotel, Hotel Makhan Vihar, Mayfair Resort, Babylon Capital, and Maira Resort. The visit provided valuable insights into North Chhattisgarh’s growing capability to host leisure holidays, corporate groups, and MICE events.

South Chhattisgarh Circuit
Simultaneously, GAEHP organized the South Chhattisgarh FAM Tour, where travel professionals explored the unique cultural and natural treasures of the Bastar region. Participants visited iconic destinations including Chitrakote Waterfall, Tirathgarh Waterfall, Kanger Valley National Park, Kutumsar Caves, Kanker Palace, Bastar Palace, Maa Danteshwari Temple, Barsur Heritage Site, and Dhudmaras Tourism Village. The delegation also experienced authentic tribal culture, local handicrafts, eco-tourism initiatives, and the renowned hospitality of Dhankul Ethnic Resort and Dandami Luxury Resort, highlighting the region’s growing appeal as an experiential tourism destination.

Networking & Industry Engagement
A key highlight of the programme was the GAEHP Chhattisgarh Tourism Networking Evening held in Raipur, where tourism stakeholders from Chhattisgarh connected with leading travel buyers and industry professionals from across India. The event facilitated meaningful business interactions, encouraged future collaborations, and strengthened partnerships between tourism suppliers, hospitality partners, and travel trade professionals.

Grand Valedictory Session
The Mega FAM Tour concluded with a Valedictory Session in Raipur, graced by Mr. Neelu Sharma, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB), and Mr. Vivek Acharya, Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, along with 52 members of GAEHP, industry leaders, and tourism stakeholders. The session celebrated the successful completion of both North and South Chhattisgarh circuits and reaffirmed the collective commitment to positioning Chhattisgarh as one of India’s fastest-growing tourism and MICE destinations.

GAEHP expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board for its exceptional support, vision, and hospitality throughout the programme. The Association also conveyed special appreciation to Mr. Neelu Sharma, Shri Vivek Acharya, the entire CTB team.

Speaking on the successful completion of the initiative, Mr. Rajesh Arya, GAEHP President said:
