Government Sr Sec Schools, UT Chandigarh – Class XI Online Admissions commence from 1st August, 2022

The online Admission process for admission to Class XI in Government Sr Sec Schools of Chandigarh started from 1st August 2022 onwards. The last date for filling in the form shall be August 9th, 2022.
This year, a total of 42 Senior Secondary Schools are open for admission, offering admission to 13570 seats, including 3080 seats in Science, 1980 in Commerce, 6720 for Humanities and 1790 for different Skill Courses (39 co-ed schools and 3 only girls schools).
PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION:
- The centralized online admission portal has been developed and will be managed by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MoE&IT), Government of India,
- The prospectus will be available and the Registration Form is to be filled online at www.chdeducation.gov.in with a Registration Fee of Rs. 150/- payable online.
- After logging in on the website, a candidate shall generate his/her account by filling in the basic details. After filling in the basic details by the candidate, a unique ID and Password shall be generated, which the candidate shall have to keep safe for any future reference.
- There is only one Registration Form for all the streams.
- The students who’ve passed the Class X exam from CBSE in 2022 will have their results integrated through an API i.e therefore there will be no need to scan-upload the Detailed Marks Sheet.
- The students who’ve passed the Class X exam from CBSE in any year other than 2022, Students from other Boards, Students who’ve passed the Compartment Exam and the students claiming benefit for reservation under any category shall have to submit a scanned copy of the relevant Detailed Marks Sheet and relevant certificate/documents.
- Candidate can edit the submitted Registration Form till the last date of the filling of the Registration Form.
- In case of any discrepancy/ objection, after the common merit list has been displayed, the candidates can submit the objection through email on a specified proforma by logging in with their ID and password.
- The seats shall be allotted to the candidates in order of merit.
- Admission Help Desk: The students can approach all the Govt Sr Secondary and High Schools of UT, Chandigarh for seeking help in online form filling from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Technical Helpline will be manned by NIELITS and for Academic queries 10 teachers have been deputed (the details of which are in the prospectus).
- Grievances: After the display of the provisional common merit list of the students, the grievances (if any) of the students would be invited through (the details of which are in the prospectus).
- Specially created email; and
- NIELIT created special proformas.
- Grievance Redressal Cells set up at 4 Govt Schools would provide telephonic guidance to students.
