Haryana Congress Announces 17 Candidates for Municipal Corporation Polls, 3 Wards Kept Pending

The Haryana unit of the Congress on Wednesday evening released its list of 17 candidates for the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections, while keeping nominations for three wards pending.

According to the list, Payal Sodhi has been fielded from Ward 1, Rajnish Singla from Ward 3, Rajiv Chaudhary from Ward 4, and Vijay Sharma from Ward 5. Darshan Lal will contest from Ward 6, while Pankaj Balmiki has been nominated from Ward 7. Usha Rani has been given the ticket for Ward 8, followed by Surinder Singh from Ward 9 and Baljit Singh from Ward 10.

Anju will contest from Ward 11, Jagjit Sohi from Ward 12, and Akshaydeep Chaudhary from Ward 13. Saraswati Devi has been named for Ward 15, Mukesh Sirswal for Ward 17, Amandeep Kaur for Ward 18, Nazma for Ward 19, and Vikas Rana from Ward 20.

The party has, however, kept its decision pending for Ward 2, Ward 14, and Ward 16, indicating that candidates for these seats will be announced at a later stage.

The announcement comes as political activity intensifies ahead of the Municipal Corporation elections, with major parties finalizing their candidates and gearing up for the electoral contest.
