The Embassy of India in Kuwait has temporarily suspended its regular passport, visa and other routine consular services until July 19, 2026, limiting services to emergency cases only.
In an official advisory, the Embassy stated that during this period, only applicants with genuine emergencies and supporting documentary evidence will be attended to. Routine passport renewals, visa applications and other non-urgent consular services will remain unavailable until normal operations resume.
The Embassy has also announced that the Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) in Kuwait will remain closed during the suspension period. Applicants who do not have urgent requirements have been advised to postpone their visits and wait until regular services are restored.
Indian nationals requiring emergency consular assistance have been asked to contact the Embassy through its designated emergency channels and carry valid proof supporting the urgency of their request.
The temporary restriction is aimed at facilitating administrative arrangements, and the Embassy has assured the Indian community that normal passport, visa and consular services are expected to resume after July 19, 2026.
The advisory is expected to affect routine passport renewals, visa processing and other consular services for Indian nationals and foreign applicants during the week-long suspension. Applicants are advised to monitor official Embassy announcements for updates regarding the restoration of normal services.
