
Insp. Sarita Roy SHO PS-19 Felicitates Topper Students of Hallo Majra NGO

In a heartwarming gesture to encourage academic excellence among underprivileged children, Inspector Sarita Roy, SHO of Police Station Sector 19, Chandigarh, distributed school bags and stationery to the topper students of an NGO-run Social Worker Free Tuition Centre of Hallo Majra. The centre has been serving the community for the past 12 years, offering free education to over 350 needy students.

During the event, Insp. Roy interacted with the children and appreciated their dedication to studies despite hardships. She emphasized the importance of becoming responsible citizens and staying disciplined, urging students to actively participate in sports and keep away from drugs and unlawful activities.

Speaking to The Voice of Chandigarh, Insp. Roy shared, “I believe in encouraging young minds. It is our responsibility to support children who strive to excel, even in difficult circumstances. I frequently undertake such initiatives to motivate them to dream big and grow into smart, responsible citizens.”
