IPS Officer Varun Sharma Appointed Mohali SSP, Harmandeep Singh Hans Gets Patiala Charge

The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and posting of eight IPS officers on administrative grounds with immediate effect, bringing changes to several key police positions across the state.

Under the reshuffle, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been appointed IGP, Border Range, Amritsar, replacing Harmanbir Singh. Harmanbir Singh has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar.

Bhagirath Singh Meena, who was serving as SSP Mansa, has been transferred as AIG, Personnel-1, CPO, Punjab.

In another significant change, Varun Sharma has been appointed SSP SAS Nagar, replacing Harmandeep Singh Hans, who will now take charge as SSP Patiala.

Suhail Qasim Mir, serving as AIG, Personnel-1, CPO, Punjab, has been appointed SSP Bathinda, replacing Jyoti Yadav.

Jyoti Yadav has been posted as Commandant, 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh, replacing Balwinder Singh, PPS.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav Choudhary, who was serving as SP Headquarters, Patiala, has been appointed SSP Mansa, replacing Bhagirath Singh Meena.

The officers have been directed to join their new places of posting immediately. The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority.
