Kuwait Airways organizes training courses to enhance its employees’ skills in assisting passengers with special needs

Kuwait Airways, in cooperation with Shahad Shehab Company for Specialized Medical Centers Management, organized a series of specialized training courses and programs for its employees, in line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two parties. The initiative aims to enhance employees’ skills and capabilities in assisting passengers with special needs, with a particular focus on cabin crew and airport staff.
The training programs covered a range of specialized topics, including effective communication and interaction methods with individuals with special needs, such as hearing, visual, and motor impairments. The programs also introduced best practices and appropriate methods for providing support and assistance throughout the different stages of travel, with the aim of enhancing the ease and comfort of their travel experience.
In this context, Kuwait Airways Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti, stated, “Organizing these training courses reflects Kuwait Airways’ commitment to investing in human capital and continuously developing the skills of its employees, recognizing that they are the cornerstone of providing exceptional services that meet the needs of all passengers and keep pace with their expectations.”
Al-Shatti added that these courses are within the framework of Kuwait Airways’ ongoing efforts to develop its employees’ capabilities and enhance their readiness to address the diverse needs of passengers. This aligns with the company’s strategy of improving the services it provides, promoting inclusivity, and delivering exceptional travel experience for all customers without exception.
Al-Shatti emphasized that Kuwait Airways as the national carrier of the State of Kuwait is committed to providing a comprehensive travel environment that takes into consideration the needs of different categories of passengers. He added that the company continues to enhance its services and develop the efficiency of its employees, reflecting its commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and exceptional travel experience for all customers.
For her part, the Acting Director of the Training Department at Kuwait Airways, Ms. Ghazlan Al-Tashah, said that the training programs represent an important step toward enhancing employees’ skills in assisting passengers with special needs. She noted that equipping employees with the necessary knowledge and skills contributes to providing a more convenient and comfortable travel experience, while enhancing their ability to provide appropriate support to passengers throughout the various stages of their journey.
Al-Tashah pointed out that the courses included both theoretical and practical components, focusing on effective communication and appropriate ways of assisting passengers with different needs. The training also covered best practices for providing services to people with special needs, enabling employees to interact with them efficiently and professionally while enhancing the quality of services provided at the company’s facilities and on board its flights.

Al-Tashah emphasized that Kuwait Airways continues to implement training and development programs in cooperation with specialized organizations, leveraging their expertise to enhance the efficiency of its employees in line with international standards and practices in the field of customer service. She noted that developing employee skills is one of the main pillars supporting the company’s efforts to improve the level of its services.
