Rohit Sood Wins Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Elections, Defeats Sekhon by 96 Votes

Rohit Sood has registered a decisive victory in the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association elections by winning the post of President. According to the results declared after late-night counting, Rohit Sood secured a total of 1,483 votes.


He defeated his main rival Parminder Singh Sekhon by a margin of 96 votes to claim the president’s post. Sekhon received 1,387 votes.
Among the other candidates, Surjit Singh Raich secured 1,099 votes, Chauhan Satvinder Singh Sisodia received 121 votes, while Rajesh Kumar Moudgil got 69 votes.
In the elections for other key posts, Ashish Bishnoi secured the vice-president’s position with a victory margin of 510 votes against Sunil Agnihotri. Parampreet Singh Bajwa emerged as secretary, defeating Namit Khurana by 922 votes.
For the joint secretary post, Kirandeep Kaur won over Nidhi with a lead of 539 votes, while Ashish Rana was elected treasurer after surpassing Satnam Singh by 112 votes.
