Samaira Sandhu is nominated as Brand Ambassador of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign Chandigarh

The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration is the nodal department to implement Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign which has adopted a multi-pronged approach to deal with the menace of drug abuse among the citizens. Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign Chandigarh has been actively working to make Chandigarh a ‘Nasha mukt’ city. Target campaigns have been initiated across traditional and modern platforms including on ground activities in schools, colleges and public places as well as across social media platforms.
In its endeavours to stop substance abuse and to promote healthy lifestyle among citizens of Chandigarh, Chandigarh Administration has nominated Ms. Samaira Sandhu, as Brand Ambassador of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign Chandigarh. The nomination of Samaira Sandhu as Brand Ambassador was announced by Dharam Pal IAS, Adviser to the Administrator U.T. Chandigarh in presence of Nitika Pawar IAS, Secretary Social Welfare WCD and Palika Arora PCS, Director Social Welfare WCD.
Samaira Sandhu, a resident of Chandigarh and a lead actor in Indian movies, a model and a famous author has expressed immense pleasure on being nominated as the Brand Ambassador of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign U.T. Chandigarh. She thanked the Adviser to the Administrator for giving her the opportunity as Brand Ambassador of Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign as drug Abuse is the agenda of the hour. She has authored a novel titled “Heaven in a Hell” which is based on Drug-de-addiction. She expressed that she has always felt for the cause of substance abuse and she will try to bring a change for this novel cause. She is volunteering as Brand Ambassador for Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in U.T. Chandigarh to promote activities like publicity through electronic/ print media, posters, hoardings, F.M. Radio, Social Media handles to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in the city.
