About a week back, the team of The Voice of Chandigarh carried out an in-depth survey of the voters and interactions with the contesting candidates for Panchkula Municipal Corporation during the campaign time and did the critical analysis about the outcome of election. It was on the basis of complete study done in colonies and villages of Panchkula including the urban areas of Panchkula. The Voice of Chandigarh predicted the victory of the Mayoral post in favor of Sham Lal Bansal. The results have proved the prediction. The Congress Candidate Mrs. Sudha Bhardwaj was also a strong contender but she couldn’t make a place because of several reasons and perhaps relied on the villages and colonies where it was thought that Congress had a strong hold on the voters.

Eelections in any state always present a deceptive figure unless the candidates try to establish a close connect with the voters and their grievances to be addressed. BJP has taken a lead in this regard and left no stone unturned by meeting the voters time and again during canvassing period

VOTES POLLED FOR MAYORAL ELECTION

Now the BJP has exhibited a clean sweep by winning in 17 wards.

Thus, no doubt the Mandate has gone for triple engine for BJP. But the triple fold issues of Panchkula still remain unresolved which might create problems for the winners.
