Shipra Bansal takes charge as the Chairperson of Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR). The Chairman, Social Welfare Advisory Committee, Satya Pal Jain, Addl. Solicitor General of India, Ex-MP from Chandigarh, Davesh Moudgil, Member, Senate Member, Punjab University, Ex-Mayor, Chandigarh, Dr. Monica M Singh, Member, CCPCR and other dignitaries from their respective fields congratulated and welcomed her.

While speaking on the occasion, Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, CCPCR extended vote of thanks to all the present ones. She further highlighted that as the Chairperson of this apex body of child protection, she will ensure the implementation of laws/polices regarding child safety and security in letter and spirit. The Commission will take appropriate steps to curb the menace of school dropout ratio, child begging, child labour, child abuse and other children related rights and issues. She also urged the stakeholders and general masses to come forward and be a part of the Commission’s endeavors to make Chandigarh-A Child Friendly City.

All the staff members of the Commission were also present during this.
