Teachings of Lord Mahavir are relevant for ever – Satya Pal Jain

Satya Pal Jain, Ex-MP and Additional Solicitor General of India has said that the teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir are as relevant today as they were, when they were given thousands years back. They are relevant for ever.

             Jain was addressing the gatherings in Digamber Jain Temple 27-B and Jain Sathank, Sector 18-D, Chandigarh, as Chief Guest, in connection with Mahavir Jayanti celebrations.

           Mr. Jain said that in today’s world, various countries have made extremely dangerous Nuclear weapons which are sufficient to destroy the whole world.  He said that because of a small mischief on the part of a Mad Dictator of any country, the very existence of the Humanity can be put at stake. 

             In such a situation only the teachings of Lord Mahavir of Live and Let live, World Peace, Mutual tolerance and respect of for each other, can save the world from such dangers.

             Mr. Jain said that as a matter of fact all the teachings of all Great Men and Great Saints were for the entire humanity but, because of our narrow and petty personnel interests, we have divided them also in deficient religions, communities and castes.

             Mr. Jain said that Jain religion expects from you to strictly follow the principals of your own religion but at the same time, respect those of other religions also.  He whole heartedly appreciated the Jain Saints for their lives of great sacrifice and simplicity.
