Team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh achieved major success by cracking “Bullet lifter gang” by arresting 02 accused and recovered 15 Bullet motorcycles

Chandigarh Police achieved major success by cracking “Bullet lifter gang” by arresting 02 accused and recovered 15 Bullet motorcycles by the special team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh
In view of recent reporting of theft incidents of two wheelers in Chandigarh specific directions were given by SSP/UT, Kuldeep Singh Chahal consequently, a team under the supervision of Shruti Arora, SP/City was constituted comprising of Mridul, IPS, SDPO/South-West, led by Insp. Jaspal Singh Bhullar, SHO/36 was constituted to develop the information about the gang behind it. The team started developing the information through human and technical intelligence, CCTV footages of the vicinity have checked.
During scrutiny of CCTV footages, suspected persons have been seen. The efforts of the team yielded result. As per the developed secret information, on 23.11.22, a trap was laid down near turn 66 KV Station, Kajheri, sector 52, Chandigarh, where 01 suspect with a bullet motorcycle PB65AV9479 was rounded up. He disclosed his name Sanadar Singh S/o Pistaul Singh R/o Village Sabrah, District Tarantaran, Punjab age 19 years. On verification, said motorcycle was found stolen from Sector 42, Chandigarh. In this regard, case e-FIR no. 759 dt. 23.11.22 u/s 379 IPC PS 36, Chandigarh was already registered.
During further interrogation, it came to fore that Sanender Singh, Amritpal Singh and one master mind used to steal the bullet motorcycles from Chandigarh and Mohali areas and further sold in the rural areas of District Ferozpur and Tarantaran, Punjab, only on the earnest money (Biyana) and promised to take the remaining money after handed over the papers of vehicles, but they did not take remaining amount as they don’t have any documents.
Accused arrested:
- Sanadar Singh S/o Pistaul Singh R/o Village Sabrah, District Tarantaran, Punjab, age 19 years.
- Amritpal Singh S/o Bhagwan Singh R/o Village Amir Shahwala, Tehsil Jeera, District Ferozpur, Punjab, age 20 years.
Modus Operandi:
During interrogation, it found that both the accused are drug addicts and needed money to purchase drugs, they started committing thefts during the wee hours to meet their day to day expenditures as well as for lavish life.
Recovery:
total 15 Bullet Motorcycles (worth Rs. 22 lacs.) were recovered from the accused. With the arrest of accused, total 06 cases have been worked out and remaining 09 Bullet
