Visit Brussels organises road shows in Mumbai and Delhi

Aimed at strengthening existing relationships while building new ones with the local travel trade fraternity, visit.Brussels organized a two-city roadshow earlier this month in key source markets namely Mumbai and Delhi.

The roadshow in Mumbai covered two separate days, wherein day one was organized at the residence of H.E. Mr. Frank Geerkens, Consul General of Belgium and which, was attended by key partners and luxury agents. Addressing the gathering, the H.E. Mr. Frank Geerkens, Consul General of Belgium said, “Belgium is rich in history, architecture, gastronomy, culture and so much more! And Brussels, the capital and heart of Europe are one of the best places to start your journey. Take the time to soak in the sights and sounds, enjoy the food and visit the hidden gems that it has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you and your families once again to rediscover what we have to offer.”

On the second day, a seminar was held at a leading prominent hotel in Lower Parel and was graced by our Chief Guest H.E. Mr. Frank Geerkens, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai accompanied by Trade Commissioners, Ms.Emmanuelle Timmermans (Wallonia), Ms. Patricia Motte(Hub. Brussels), Mr. Wouter Vanhees (Flanders Investment & Trade). Our key delegates present were the spokesperson for visit.Brussels Mr. Pieter Callebaut (Visit Brussels), Mr. Philippe Steenbergen (Mini-Europe) and Tania Ter-Ossepiantz (Brussels Airport). While presenting the City of Brussels reimagined offerings, Mr. Pieter Callebaut, Business Development Leisure, visit. Brussels, said, “that for him the roadshows were great opportunities for visit.brussels to reconnect with the trade fraternity while at the same time highlighting their commitment to this amazing market, as India was a key outbound tourism market and how Mumbai and Delhi, in particular, continued to be important source cities in terms of tourist arrivals”.

In Delhi, the roadshow was held at the Embassy of Belgium and was graced by Mr. Arnauld Lion, Chargé d’affaires a.i. Embassy of Belgium, New Delhi. The amazing afternoon was spent devouring a course of Belgian delicacies, insightful business conversations and travel dialogues.

Speaking about the two city roadshow, Ellona Pereira, Head, AVIAREPS India and Representative of visit.brussels in India said, “for us, the roadshows send out a clear message that this magnificent country Belgium and in particular the city of Brussels is all ready to welcome home once again the Indian outbound travel fraternity after a hiatus of 24 months”.
